Then tragedy strikes and Mattie ends up back in Pennsylvania for a time. How can she deal with her feelings for Gideon and stay true to Sol when she is so physically close to Gideon? And what of the real reason Gideon broke their engagement? Is it all a misunderstanding that can be straightened out and allow Gideon and Mattie to reclaim their lost love or are they doomed to stay apart forever.
Great book! Highly recommended.
